The City of Woodland Park is seeking an experienced and qualified fireworks contractor, who has performed similar work for a minimum period of three (3) years, to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, design services, music performance rights, licenses, permits, insurance and other services necessary for providing state-of-the art, safe and exciting, choreographed aerial pyrotechnical fireworks display for the City of  Woodland Park's Independence Day Celebration, July 4, 2021 and/or Equivalent Date.

The Independence Day fireworks discharge site will be the Woodland Park High School. The event includes a fireworks display and one concert prior to the fireworks display. The primary viewing area will be the City's Memorial Park. The festival runs from 3:00 pm. to 9:00 pm, with the fireworks display to follow at approximately 9:15 p.m.The concert is performed by a separate band/company. Estimated attendance overall: 2,000 - 3,000.

The program objective shall be to create an innovative, continuous-fire, aerial level display visible to an audience viewing from the park and vantage points not immediately adjacent to the discharge site. To achieve this objective, the contractor is urged to include as many high bursting pieces as possible complimented by lower level aerial displays, allowing for appropriate layering and balance of the overall program with no perceptible breaks or gaps in the display.

Woodland Park is expanding the cemetery grounds to include the full 8.9 acres (approx.) of space. The city is accepting bid proposals from qualified professional firms to perform Ground Penetrating Radar services and survey services for the entire site, approximately 8.9 acres, of the City Cemetery in order to detect and map the location of all graves in the cemetery, and to provide a GPS map with coordinates of located items and reference items, in a searchable format. This work must be performed as specified in accordance with the specifications outlined by the Objectives and Scope of Work contained in this RFP. All surveying and GPS work performed by the Firm must be assembled and provided to the City in an acceptable format that is usable in ESRI ArcGIS once the project is complete.

As part of the Michigan Mobility Funding Platform, the Testing Site Deployment Grant will accelerate innovation by providing mobility and electrification companies the opportunity to access Michigan’s advanced testing facilities: Mcity at University of Michigan, the American Center for Mobility (ACM), the GM Mobility Research Center at Kettering University, the Michigan Unmanned Aerial Space Consortium (MUASC), and  the Keweenaw Research Center (KRC), the Great Lakes Research Center (GLRC), and the Advanced Power Systems Research Center (APSRC) at Michigan Tech University. The reduced cost to companies will allow them to focus their resources on enhancing and proving their technologies, and deepen ties to Michigan's mobility ecosystem.

The City of Woodland Park is requesting proposals from qualified service providers for telephony service. The intent of this RFP is to enter into a contract or contracts for Telephony Service for a three (3) year term beginning October of 2021. Any contract shall be subject to annual appropriations. The City of Woodland Park is currently connected to the internet via Peak Internet, although this VOIP agreement will coincide with internet service transfer to TDS Telecom. Current WAN bandwidth is fixed 100mbps, and new service will be burstable 250mbps. Telephony service is currently provided by the means of thirty (30) concurrent SIP sessions burstable up to fifty (50), with a non-contiguous block of one-hundred and twenty (120) direct inward dials to be transferred from the current provider.
