The fishing pier at the Lake Mackintosh facility will need all decking board replaced. This is due to age and wear and tear of the pier. This project will include replacing all deck boards with composite decking boards and the floor joist will need to be reinforced. We want to keep all existing handrails but those will need to be removed and reinstalled as deck boards are replaced. The winning contractor will dispose of all existing decking board. The total square foot of the project is 1,160. The deck color is to be a medium gray. Contractor to provide a sample board with desired color.
The work covered by these specifications for the base bid comprises in general the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, and performing all operations for construction of the deck at the Lake Mackintosh location (2704 Huffman Mill Rd, Burlington NC 27215), including site preparation, composite decking, joist reinforcement, Wear Deck, Trex Deck decking or equal to (color medium gray), removal and disposal of existing deck.
